I have. I rather like the building, and that you approach it over the river. Some of the art inside was utterly brilliant, others not quite to my taste, but then that's art.

One thing I particularly loved about the building was the windows - each one placed to frame something outside such as our wonderful chantry bridge chapel (one of only four in the country). And that some of the windows had a seat in a booth facing outwards with soundproofing, so that when you sat back everything went quiet and you were left with just the view to contemplate.

Hmmm...

I don't like Hepworth- or Nicholson or Moore or Auerbach or Bacon or any of those people. I think their work is dreary. (Why were British artists of the 50s so afraid of colour?) I did, however, like the temporary exhibition by Richard Long. I'm not sure about the building. Maybe I'd like it better if I were keener on the art.

The chantry chapel is lovely. I was annoyed we couldn't get inside.
