Date: 2012-08-17 09:44 am (UTC)I don't like Hepworth- or Nicholson or Moore or Auerbach or Bacon or any of those people. I think their work is dreary. (Why were British artists of the 50s so afraid of colour?) I did, however, like the temporary exhibition by Richard Long. I'm not sure about the building. Maybe I'd like it better if I were keener on the art.
The chantry chapel is lovely. I was annoyed we couldn't get inside.
