I was woken in the early hours by a metallic squawk. It was repeated four or five times- sometimes nearer, sometimes further away. I have no idea what it was.
Later I got up to go to the bathroom and Ailz asked me to look out the window and see if it had been snowing. I said "Yes." I was wrong. The white stuff was just a very heavy frost.
We entertain a lot a starlings. There were ten or eleven round the feeder last time I looked. They're hard to count because they move around so much.
Ailz will only drink tea that's been brewed in a pot, whereas I prefer to whap a baggie straight into the cup. She's getting sick of her normal coffee so I dug out our pot and fired it up this morning. I can't tell the difference, but I suppose she thinks she can. If you don't mind the second cup being lukewarm and stewed a pot makes the tea go further.
