I'm meeting [livejournal.com profile] manfalling in town for lunch.

That was a pretty quick trip to India then.

Erm, actually, he never went. He has problems with the 24 hour clock. His flight was scheduled for 20.30 and he thought that meant 10.30. So he turned up at the airport late.

And?

The airline gave him a new ticket for this coming Saturday. No questions asked, no extra fees. So lets hear it for those lovely people at Emirates!

Since this happened people have been looking at me and smiling and saying, "like father, like son."

don't worry. Lot's of people find basic subtraction difficult. Heck, there's even a Barbie Doll that says "Math is Hard" when you pull a string.

but on the upside, your feet can now fit into really painful shoes and your significant other comes with fused-on plastic underwear.

also i will have breasts- albeit breasts made of plastic- but that could be fun for a while.

never had breasts before.

all of which raises a question. why does HE have fused on underwear but SHE doesn't? hmm?

question- why is barbie's underwear not fused on, while ken's is? seems very sexist to me.

but you wouldn't have nipples, and those really tie the whole package together. Complete the look, so to speak. I have no idea why Ken has undergarments and Barbie does not, I'm pretty sure Ken has no interest in Barbie, Skipper or any of her malibu gal pals (if you know what I mean and I think you do). So when precisely are you going to India, and more importantly, how much charming will I have to do (and currency transfer) to get you to send me some sari's?

i could paint on nipples myself. no-one need be the wiser. and i feel terrible pity for ken. you say he isn't interested- but what if he is? some cruel god has stapled his pants to his skin. the male chastity belt. poor boy can't even take a whizz without wetting himself.

as for charm, email me some, and we will see of what quality it is, and thenceforth make a decision no doubt with a set of charm/sari balances.

i will arrive in india precisely 3am dehli time, this monday. what i will do at 3am dehli time i do not know. it is a mystery to me

A fine beginning for an adventure.

My daughter took off for London alone several years ago. She had a wonderful time. I worried about her, but she sent happy postcards from everywhere--she stayed in youth hostels all over Germany and England. The people were very kind to her as she traveled--I suppose they're used to bewildered, tired students looking for hostels.

Mike is already pretty well travelled. He's been all round the States (by Greyhound) and he's recently returned from a year in Japan. This, though, is the wildest thing he's done.
