Fireworks- Not
Nov. 6th, 2009 09:50 amBonfire night was singularly quiet. I blame the recession, or thank the recession....whatever. I suppose it's still possible there'll be an eruption of fireworks over the weekend.
Yesterday I made a carrot cake.

Date: 2009-11-06 10:28 am (UTC)Pyromaniacs need no encouragement here, thanks very much! They are already dab hands at car bonfires. :-(
I have no objection to organised displays, but would love to see private sales banned. If they only set the things off on the designated night it wouldn't be so bad, but I guarantee we will have another night of bangs and flashes tonight, and again tomorrow, and a few isolated ones on Sunday. It happens every year, and on a housing estate it means you can't escape it.
I don't want to stop the fun, just limit the spread of the nuisance factor.
