Oddly, both the tower and the Norman interior are very reminiscent of Durham, although different periods of building at Durham, which makes direct influence that bit less likely...

No wonder they call my home area NEW England! Most of our towns and many of our streets are named after places in the UK. Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Dorchester, Massachusetts. Gloucester, Worcester, etc. Suffolk and Norfolk counties, Hampstead and Hampshire counties. Essex Street. And so on ad infinitum. Your places are so much more beautiful than ours.
