Furnishing A Room

poliphiloAilz is working towards becoming a member of our Quaker Meeting while I mean to remain an attender (in practical terms there's very little difference,) She likes to make committments and I like to stand a little to one side. I have a long history of joining things and then wishing I hadn't. One of my mottos/mantras is this of Blake's. "I must create a system or be enslaved by another man's."
Not that I have a system- exactly. I have picked things up- here and there- scouring the intellectual charity shops of the world- and I'm still picking things up. They don't necessarily harmonize but- whatever- I have furnished a room...
We had thunder and lightning and heavy rain during the night. I had a dream that a child I was attached to had been hospitalised and I was weeping over it. Several people from my past turned up- at least one of them verifiably "dead"
One of the people from my past was a much younger version of my mother. Today is her birthday. She's 101. We'll be visiting her in her care home...
