A fly keeps settling on my computer screen. I suppose it's drawn towards the light (aren't we all?) and finds it comforting. It's a slow and sleepy fly.

We had the GP give my mother a check-up the other day, the blood test showed she was anaemic- and the up-shot was that she and I spent most of yesterday on a ward in Pembury hospital with her being given a blood transfusion and me sitting in a corner reading a book. We're thinking now about how we can improve her diet so as to up her iron levels....

Beans, dried fruit like apricots and some fortified breakfast cereals are all good. Pumpkin seeds and quinoa too. Leafy greens like spinach and things like tofu.

I won't mention meat sources as I know you don't eat it any more than I do.
