poliphiloOur friend Bean (real name Benjamin Lam) is a smith- and we asked him to make something for the garden.
He sketched out a number of designs and we chose the bird because we love birds.
They aren't really any particular kind of bird but we agreed on a colouring that suggests the magpie.
And having made that choice we had to have the two of them because,
One for sorrow,
Two for joy.....
