Battlefield
Mar. 18th, 2015 09:52 pmBattlefield is a suburb of Shrewsbury. In 1403 Henry IV defeated Harry Hotspur there- and Sir John Falstaff soliliquised about honour and sherris sack.
The actual battle ground has not been built on. This is what it looks like on a misty morning in March.

After the battle King Henry founded a college of priests on or near the site of the burial pits. All that's left is the chapel- dedicated to St Mary Magdalene- which later served as the parish church and is now redundant...

What is honour? A word...Who hath it? He that died o'Wednesday...
