The Prime Minister is afraid that publishing the names of establishment paedophiles might turn into "a witch hunt against people who are gay". Personally I'd have thought it more likely to turn into a witch hunt against people who are Tory- which is why I would advise him- in the interests of political balance- to instigate an inquiry into the inquiry about Dunblane.

I thought the problem was paedophiles who preyed on young girls and young boys. So lets have a witch hunt against paedophiles, by all means, and leave the mutually-consenting adult gay men alone. What would they be doing selecting "party guests" in a children's home anyway?

There has been a huge crime and a huge cover-up. Many of the perpetrators have not even been questioned. I think it's the job of the media to push for justice.

If people have committed crimes, they should be tried properly. Not by the media, spreading rumours and labelling people before they are heard.

But we're talking about powerful people whose powerful friends have been covering up for them. If the media don't agitate for something to be done they'll be allowed to slip back into the shadows. This is as case in which the police and the courts have already failed to deliver justice.

Gay people are seldom pedophiles. Usually it is middle aged, straight, married, white men. They are the biggest customers at the baby brothels in Taiwan. Very sick. If I were a sharp shooter, they'd all be dead .

People who prey on children need to be put down. They never stop. No child is safe while they roam free.

An animal with rabies is put down, and it isn't the animals fault that it is rabid. Pedophiles choose to prey. It's so sad and disgusting.

The names on the list the PM was handed are mostly of Tory politicians who identify as or are suspected of being gay. There has to be a strong suspicion that some or all of them are being wrongly accused.

This is the problem with trial by media, it can turn into a witch hunt in which innocent people are falsely accused.

We are supposed to have a system in this country in which you are innocent until proven guilty. This probably does mean that guilty people sometimes get away with their crimes if there isn't enough hard evidence to convict them, but the alternative is that innocent people have their lives and careers ruined and their family's peace of mind destroyed.

But sometimes the law fails- as I believe it did in the case of the Inquiry into abuse at Bryn Estyn.
Malefactors were protected. If the system won't deliver justice we may have to go outside it.
