The Prime Minister is afraid that publishing the names of establishment paedophiles might turn into "a witch hunt against people who are gay". Personally I'd have thought it more likely to turn into a witch hunt against people who are Tory- which is why I would advise him- in the interests of political balance- to instigate an inquiry into the inquiry about Dunblane.

Date: 2012-11-09 03:12 pm (UTC)We are supposed to have a system in this country in which you are innocent until proven guilty. This probably does mean that guilty people sometimes get away with their crimes if there isn't enough hard evidence to convict them, but the alternative is that innocent people have their lives and careers ruined and their family's peace of mind destroyed.
