It was funny and clever and exciting, but I just don't feel any connection to Matt Smith's Doctor or the tiresomely uxorious Ponds. I loved Moffat's writing when he was working under RTD's direction, but now he's running the show I'm feeling emotional manipulation where there used to be heart. The only episode I've really liked since he took charge was the one Neil Gaiman wrote. I don't offer this as any sort of definitive put-down. I'm happy for everyone who loves Matt Smith; but this is your era, not mine. I've got to admit Tom Baker (heresy, heresy!) didn't do much for me either. The show is bigger than any of its incarnations and I'll continue watching because I love the mythos.

Awww! You changed it!

I preferred "concupiscent". I love finding new words.

I didn't feel concupiscent was quite right. Both words are substitutes for another that is hovering at the brink of consciousness but won't declare itself. When I remember what it is I'll scrub connubial and put it in.

Wasn't that the planet from "Colony in Space"?

(Only kidding - that one was "Uxarieus")
