Parade's End the book is one of the great Modernist novels- a monumental text with even fewer readers than Ulysses or To The Lighthouse. Stoppard's TV adaption turns it into Merchant Ivory; it looks lovely, the actors are superb, but I don't quite see the point. If you take away the density you take away the distinction. It's magnificent but it's not Ford.

Does any of the language survive? (I have not read or seen either.)

Very little. Most of the dialogue is about identifying people. "Hello, I'm the curate". "That's X; he taught me to box at Oxford".
