Parade's End
Aug. 26th, 2012 10:42 amParade's End the book is one of the great Modernist novels- a monumental text with even fewer readers than Ulysses or To The Lighthouse. Stoppard's TV adaption turns it into Merchant Ivory; it looks lovely, the actors are superb, but I don't quite see the point. If you take away the density you take away the distinction. It's magnificent but it's not Ford.
