Nearly Lunchtime

The marathon runners are circling the Victoria Memorial at the top of the Mall. The statue is looking goldier than it was last time I clocked it. 

I'm going to miss the Olympics. Once they're finished the usual grimy stuff will climb back to the top of the news agenda. Syria (we're backing the horrible rebels against the horrible government because we've seen the way the wind is blowing) Mitt Romney (that disgusting man) the tribulations of our dreary Coalition, Premiership football (groan).

Two Kenyans and a Ugandan are leading the pack. The sun is shining on London.

Thank you for your appraisal of Mitt (that disgusting man). His VP choice is even worse! For the last couple of years or more Kenyans have won the Boston Marathon, so my money is on Kenya in the Olympics as well.
