Dot has been talking to the Crem about having Eric's ashes scattered among their rose bushes. They're offering her a package that includes the scattering, his name inscribed in their Book of Remembrance (real vellum, oh my!) and a small memorial tablet in "artificial stone" that will be taken down after ten years. What do you think this will cost-  £25? £50? £75 at the outside? Wrong: more like £1,000. I was telling Judy and she sent me a link to this classic sketch

Of course, the trouble with biodegradable urns is there'll be nothing for archaeologists of the future to dig up. We've just got to be grateful the Greeks and Romans didn't have them.

All the same, I agree, these are very pretty.

all the more reason to bury funky time capsules
maybe its best to not put in too much explanations
