That won me over. A sweet man. Early middle age. Neat beard. Lazy eye. A giggler. Efficient too: he took out a notebook and wrote down everything we told him about Eric. I gave him the story about Eric selling plastic boxes to Freddie Mercury without knowing who he was.

I don't know how the decent ones carry on- really I don't- knowing, as they must know, that much of what they're obliged to believe and teach is nonsense.
