Irritable

I am very irritable these days.

Or is it simply that I am more conscious of being irritable?

If that's the case people may think me less irritable than I used to be-

Because I do try very hard not to act out my irritation.

Things that irritate me include people and dogs. Especially old people (but not my mother) and old dogs (very much including my mother's)

Sorry to hear that. I am guessing that sometimes you live in trying circumstances. As I am approaching menopause I am wondering what to do about my own existing and innate irritability, which will no doubt get worse at that time. I'm thinking yoga and meditation might be the way to go.

Dogs I like, old people not so much and my parents are the most irritating old people I know. If dogs watched Fox News and voted Republican I should probably hate them, too.

True, though some are more needy than others. I have always loved Alsatians precisely because they aren't so needy.
