You dress in a self-designed uniform, complete with self-awarded medals, then you murder over seventy young people: what a wonderful advertisement you are for your cause!

At the funeral of Bano Rashid a minister and an imam walked side by side ahead of the coffin- which is exactly the kind of thing her sheep-faced killer wanted to prevent.

We've been saying the same thing about Muslim extremists for decades, i.e. "Did these murderers seriously think that we'd all rush to embrace wahabi Islam once they started blowing themselves up and using airliners as weapons?"

Like you noted above, evil is both banal and stupid. Unfortunately, it's also not limited to a specific belief system or culture.
