The best proposal to prevent vote spoilage has been an electronic pre-scanner that allows you to know what the machine will read in case something has gone wrong. On the whole, though, the exit-poll v. actual balloting thing might be a real scandal. It could also be a problem in the polling, but we'll not know for a long time.

I was thinking, well, at least it was a clean victory and that's something, but if it turns out it wasn't- pah!
