My son Mike was in Tokyo when the earthquake struck. He has written about his experience here. We heard this morning that he and his girlfriend are on their way to her family home in South Korea.
I am very happy that they decided to leave. I could not begin to imagine the anxiety people must be feeling now that they have been ordered to barricade themselves indoors right in the "red" zone. I was worried for your son, for your family in this terrible time.
My son and his girlfriend are fortunate in having so many options. Between them they have relatives they can go to in South Korea, Britain and the USA.
