Getting Ready to Welcome The Builders

We had our site conference this morning.  Work on the house starts the Monday after next.  Between now and then we have to strip it of movables

We've spent the afternoon hiring storage space- a transaction that involves more paper work than the purchase of a car.

I'm seeing this as a great opportunity to declutter.

What are you having done?

Our building is going to be rewired in the months to come. I am not looking forward to what that means (like moving all of the furniture away from the walls, which will involved draining the waterbed, ugh), but I will feel safer with modern wiring in the building. I just hope they don't shaft us for the cost on our next rent increase.

We're being rewired too. We're also having new windows and a couple of new ceilings. We'll be living in a building site for about six weeks.

Decluttering while renovating is a very good idea. I managed to do that about 5 years ago when we did major renovations but now I think we need to do more remodeling just so I can be inspired to declutter again.
