That Was Some Storm While It Lasted

The in-laws drove up in a thunderstorm, and- sensibly-  wouldn't risk climbing our front steps, so I put on a hat and coat and went out to them- and we exchanged gifts at the curbside. I gave them a tub of zinc and castor oil we'd sourced in Middleton for my mother-in-law and they gave me a bag of home-grown apples.

I made an apple cake yesterday with the previous batch from my father-in-law's trees. Now  I guess I'm going to have to make another.

I got this one off the net. I googled apple cake and used the first recipe that came up. It's very moist.

Now I guess I'm going to have to make another.
