Odi called us at 7.30 this morning to say she was in labour.  Ailz and I were in the delivery suite with her all day.  Christa was born- by C section ( the only bit we weren't there for)- around six.

When we left her last night, Odio was still under the effect of the anaesthetic. I imagine she'll stay in hospital for a day or two.

A question: why did they let Odi stay in labor so long before the C-section?

Her first delivery was by C Section and she very much wanted this one to be "natural". Things seemed to be going well, then the baby started showing signs of distress and the staff leaped into action.

Edward Lear once wrote a sweetly humorous note to a newborn niece, formally congratulating her on her inheritance of the excellent estate of two doting parents, a loving family, a wide circle of admiring relatives and friends, etc.
