Date: 2010-06-28 05:19 pm (UTC)It didn't used to be. It was all about tribal loyalty in the old days when my Gran and Granddad and Great Aunty Ethel had season tickets for Manchester United and the other side of the family had season tickets for Manchester City.
I was the child of a mixed marriage, which is why my brother played rugby and the only football team we ever supported was Bury. We didn't want to alienate either side because we knew where our Christmas presents came from! :)
