Not All Bad

On the one hand the step lift is dead again.  It lasted for a day after its last mend. The engineer is here now. He thinks there's an electrical fault.

On the other hand the Council has waved the parking fine we were slapped with after a parking attendant gave us the go-ahead to park on double yellow lines.

Sorry to hear about the stairlift, but can I have your autograph? After all, people who get councils to tear up parking tickets are rare and famous in my book! *bows reverently* LOL

This was a clear-cut case I think. We were displaying a disabled parking permit. We were within our rights- and the attendant was just trying it on.
