How Censorship "Works"

So the attack on LJ- and Facebook, Twitter, Blogger and YouTube-  turns out to have been an attempt to silence one man- the Georgian nationalist Cyxymu, who now- thanks to this smart move by his enemies- is famous not only in his own region, but across the entire world.

Fortunately, for us the bad guys are (usually) stupider than the good guys.
It never eases to amaze me, and living up here with that bunch of loonies for neighbours, I have had plenty of experience, how ineffectual Russian attempts at cyber-terrorism turn out to be.

I'd like to think it's because the minions of the Russian Empire don't really believe in the cause they serve.

That might have been, probably was, true during the Soviet period, but this lot today, I think they're just stupid and/or badly educated.
