Here Be Nazis

Of course the publication of the BNPs membership list is a hideous invasion of privacy and totally deplorable, but it's still kinda fun to find out where the nazis live. Or should that be scary? Anyway I was surfing through the "A"s just now and I found there's one living in the street behind me- close enough for me to hit her with a well-aimed snowball or tomato (if it wasn't for the houses in between).

She won't be the only one. A breakdown of the list says that between eleven and twenty of the little varmints share my post code.

I go on scrolling. Here's one- in the "H"s- on my very street.

This is what it must feel like to be a secret policeman- or the recording angel.

Which is why I shouldn't be doing it- and must stop.

Well yes, I hate nazis too, but I don't see the BNP ever making electoral headway. They'll pick up council seats here and there, but that's it. They're horrible, but they're also a bit of a joke.

If you've enjoyed looking at the list then why not also have a sneaky peak into the minds of these people? After I read the list I had a poke around stormfront.org - which is a white supremacist forum with quite a large UK section. Easy to dismiss all racists as bastards or room-temperature-IQ followers, but all the same it's very interesting to read their points of view too.

I've looked at far right websites in the past. I find them depressing. To build an identity on the colour of your skin strikes me as a profoundly stupid thing to do. Unscientific too. There's no such thing as a "White" race. We are all descended from a bunch of people who came foraging out of Africa a few hunrded thousand years ago.

Did you see that programme a year or two back where they explored the DNA of a sample of British citizens and pinpointed where their ancestors came from? The only one who was pure, white English all the way back to Domesday Book was Sir Norman Tebbit. All the rest were more or less mongrels. There was one Odinic, Neo-fascist woman who turned out to have Jewish blood. She got very batey and threatened to sue, until it was pointed out to her that you can't argue with science.

The posts I noticed seemed less to do with building an identity on their own skin, and more to do with living in run-down northern towns and recounting tales of asian thugs, petty crimes and generally having their towns overtaken in some sense. Having never lived more than about 30 miles north of the English channel, and not really having visited the North, I'm not in a position to comment.
I didn't see that program but it sounds interesting. I bet the producers were well pleased to find a part-Jewish Neo-fascist.

It cuts both ways. There are Asian thugs and there are white thugs. There are also ghettos. We live between a white ghetto- where you never see a brown face and an Asian ghetto where you rarely see a white one. People draw back into their communities and view all outsiders with suspicion. It's the old village mentality transferred to the multicultural city.

A lot of white working-class people feel deserted by the mainstream political establishment and turn to the BNP because the BNP talks the language of the streets. I blame Labour for deserting their core constituency. How many members of the present government have authentic working class roots? How many of them have any feeling for life as its lived in places like Dewsbury Moor.
