never! it hovers between 25 and 33 degrees all year round. all we get is sun and rain. EVEN THE RAIN IS WARM. on the downside, there is no hot chocolate. or pretty snow.

I really like the bird flying; it's the sort of photograph that could have been taken at any point in the last 5000 years.

A megalithic camera would have to be stationary I think. A sort of stone-built camera obscura- with a stone shutter it would take four men with staves to roll and lever into place.

I like photos no 2 & 4 best. The broken railings and misty houses are so evocative, they remind me of the times it snowed in my childhood. The brightly coloured taxi promising sun and warmth in the midst of the snow is a wonderful juxtaposition.

It's much milder here. We just had rain.

I just saw this photo on my friends page. I get old photos posted from Shorpy. I immediately thought of you. It's the first indoor shopping mall in the USA - photo taken in 1956. Notice that the one store that is obvious is Woolworth's! (Made me think of your recent post about the company) The mall looks like the ones now, but the people's style of clothing has certainly changed.

You have snow already? Yesterday we had 60 degrees, following a light rain. Weird weather! 25 years ago today we had a snowstorm that was deep enough to cancel Sunday church.

I love the sequence of these pictures: two monochrome landscapes - so that I'm peering at them, trying to decide if they are actually in B & W or not - then some points of light (and a green light too, just to prepare the theme) and then bang! it's uniquely Singapore. Brilliant!

I don't understand why the third picture came out blue rather than sepia. I suppose there must have been some subtle shift in the light. Or perhaps it was because by then I was on higher ground and the mist was thinner.

I love this sequence of photos. Dammit, I HATE snow, but it sure is pretty. It softens landscapes and covers up bad stuff, and makes it look like good stuff.

It's very very cold for Seville. I think a good part of Europe is in an arctic grip.
