Collider Day
Sep. 10th, 2008 09:49 amWe've just bought a couple of daylight bulbs for the living room. This is all part of our multi-pronged strategy for beating the recession and making this winter a happy experience. It may be glooming outside, but inside it'll be as bright as May Day and we won't get SAD.
We've also invested in fleeces. Mine has little skull and crossbones all over it.
I understand the Large Hadron Collider has been switched on. This is probably the most important event of the 21st century thus far. I don't think we've been sucked into an alternate universe, but if we had, would we notice?

The logs for the fire are piling up nicely.
I like the sound of your fleece and I'm very glad to still be alive on this planet.

I wish we had a wood burning stove. My mother got rid of hers because it was unsightly- a mistake I think. She lives down your end of the country and is surrounded by trees.
