poliphilo Either everything is sacred or nothing is. That's the Quaker view. And one of the consequences of this is we don't celebrate festivals.
This Easter we're rather rubbing it in by sheduling a business meeting after worship. No-one loves to attend a business meeting. They're necessary (I suppose) but they're rarely fun.
Not celebrating Easter suits me because I don't like being jolly to order and, anyway, I'm not a Christian. All the same, I think it's a little inhuman.
