Happy Easter. Not.

 Either everything is sacred or nothing is. That's the Quaker view. And one of the consequences of this is we don't celebrate festivals.

This Easter we're rather rubbing it in by sheduling a business meeting after worship. No-one loves to attend a business meeting. They're necessary (I suppose) but they're rarely fun.

Not celebrating Easter suits me because I don't like being jolly to order and, anyway, I'm not a Christian. All the same, I think it's a little inhuman.

Thankfully we have no relatives immediately to hand!

It's been a very long time since I celebrated Easter as either a religious or a secular feast.

I can see it might be a bit awkward if one had extended family and friends one might still share a meal with.

Very few people showed up for the business meeting- which was fine: it meant we got through the agenda pretty quickly.

That's worse than me painting my bathroom today LOL! Expecting everyone else to be in a biz meeting.

There was nothing very important on the agenda. Mass attendance wasn't required or expected.
