 A year ago I opined here in DW

1. That the US President seemed to know what he was doing.

2. That the Epstein kerfuffle was done and dusted.

3. That Zelensky was finished.

Oh dear. 

In March 2026

1. The American President is thrashing around like a wounded shark.

2. The Epstein scandal spreads and spreads and the horror deepens and deepens.

3.  Zelensky is still in place and the war in Ukraine drags on- with another war having usurped its place in the headlines.

The one thing I thought then and still think now is that the old world order is falling apart. 

 I got the big picture right and all the details wrong. I should bear that in mind next time I'm tempted to pontificate.....

It wasn't difficult for me to predict his reign of terror. :/ The next election feels awfully far away... and yet I hear people saying that he is trying to make it so that he can go beyond two terms. If anyone knows anything about that, please share the facts with me.

he's going to use his war
to continue the presidency and shut down elections
same as netanyahu kept his control.

unfortunately the top of the military
- who should refuse the unconstitutional orders.
believe in the apocalypse and see themselves
calling in the end of the way world
they want to force the rapture to happen
they want to see the face of god

they forget the earliest line
no one can see the face of god and live.

but they still believe in dying
they will be in the best place?

they need a new mythos
one that does not see the world as evil
one that does not see everyone being born sinfull/evil
one that does not see bad actions
in that believes this is good

JC tried to circumvent it
with tales of the good samaritan
that one can chose to be good no matter what you beleive

he said love your neighbor with out any caveats/judgement
love them like your self

but they don't know how to undo the 'sin' teaching
and love themselves

people keep trying to destroy the world
and they fail I really hope they fail again

I just hope the ones who survive this war do.

we need to connect away from the internet
before it is used against us.
or is taken down like it is in russia at the present
but that's another story

I just hope that is not possible! There is the two term limit in the Constitution and it seems some members of the Supreme Court are getting fed up with him. And his health, I mean he's falling apart so I sure hope it isn't a possibility.

I knew he would be bad, I mean that Project 2025 crap and all but still I did thing a few more Republicans would try to and succeed in limiting his horrible decisions.

I agree. My partner says that he is attempting to overturn the 2 term limit, which is so unconstitutional, not to mention insane. No one in their right mind would agree to this, right? Please reassure this concerned soul. :P

Thank you. My partner is Catholic and def not MAGA, so he was the one who alerted me about how the Pope is standing up to Trump, which I love.

I thought - as he promised- that he'd expose the corruption in US politics- and in a way he has done- but only by being so blatantly corrupt himself
