Textured Paint

Twenty years ago (my excuse is I was young and naive) I painted most of the interior of our house with textured paint. Karl is now having to strip it all off. 

He uses a steamer. The steamer has long coils of rubber tubing; it hisses and gurgles and froths at the mouth. I don't like having to step over it.

Some of the paint I used was intended for outside walls. It has grit in it-  pebbles. We took bags of the detritus to the tip yesterday and they were really heavy.

Karl is going off to do another job for three weeks (we said he could; he's a mate and it gives us a break) but the completion date keeps getting pushed further and further forward.
