Eight Hours In A and E
Jun. 8th, 2024 06:56 amWe got back from the hospital at around 11.30.
Ailz tipped her new disability scooter over in the early afternoon and the hospital people were awfully good but insisted on running all sorts of tests before they'd let her home. She didn't break break anything, but is a bit bruised and torn down the left hand side.
The scooter is fine. She wound up underneath it and cushioned its fall......
We're immensely grateful to the guys who got out of their van and formed a protective barrier and directed traffic round her while she lay in the road. There was no question of moving her until the ambulance arrived in case she had spinal injuries....
I've never had any reason not to praise the NHS. It's a wonderful institution.....
