Not Shy Any Longer

poliphilo We had 16 people at the Meeting House this morning. Not bad at all. There was a first timer (always great to welcome one of those) and a couple visiting from Blackheath- which happens to be Mike and Su's local Meeting house.
I used to be awful shy. Dunno quite what happened, but it seems to me that I just decided- sometime in middle age- that being shy is stupid so I dropped it. Now, after Meeting, I float round the room talking to everyone who looks like they need to be talked to- and especially the shy ones. There are one or two whom I like to tease.
Mike and Su (who came to the Meeting and had a chance to chat to the Blackheath couple) have gone home. Now we're expecting a visit from Odi and the kids- and Odi's new boyfriend. The latest news is that they parked over night at a Tesco's in London and now they can't access the car because the Tesco's in closed (it's Easter Sunday- every damn thing is closed apart from the churches) and the barriers are down on the car park. It's like an episode of Only Fools and Horses...
