When I was a kid I had a fascination with the Moai statues of Rapa Nui. At night that fascination turned into fear. What if they suddenly appeared in my bedroom and loomed over me? OK, I said to the AI image generator- show me that thing I was afraid of.  And it responded with pictures that are distinctly odd, but reassuring rather than terrifying. These Moai are benign and protective.  Would I be frightened to sleep in either of these two beds? No, not at all...
