Stepping Away From The Brink
We've taken the house off the market.
Thank goodness for that!
I was stood on the brink, arms going like windmills and then I stepped back.
I like this house. I like this neighbourhood. The thought of leaving made me utterly miserable.
I had intense, grungey dreams last night. I guess it was the tension working its way out of my system. At one point I woke with a start because someone had just thrown a dead cat at me. The cat was stiff with rigor mortis, bent in a half-moon shape.
Instead of moving we'll get a small mortgage and do this place up. New carpets. New windows. New wardobes.

We're used to urban living. And Sheerness isn't really much more than a big village.

And the de-cluttering continues...

A house makeover sounds like a much better idea. I've been working on our house for a few years now, and it's starting to look quite good -- apart from the bits I haven't got to yet, of course. *g*

it would suck to leave it behind.
mortgage though- that means you sell part of the house, then buy it back slowly? and you're going to use the mortgage money to do it up? but how are you ever going to buy it back?

The sea, for anyone in England, is close by, isn't it? (For me, it's nine hours away.)

You'll have fun fixing the place up. We just refinanced our house and that's what we're doing. It's like Christmas in June. :-)
