Probate

 My mother died on December 23, 2022- and probate has only just been granted on her will. I gather this long delay is nothing unusual. 

Olly across the road, whose mother died a matter of months ago, sorted out probate himself using an online form. Saved money. Saved time.

All the same I'd rather put a shock absorber- aka a solicitor- between myself and officialdom....

Probate has taken about the same length of time with my parents wills and I recently got the money that was coming to me. It was complicated by the need to sell their house.

We got my mother's house sold before she died....
