Somewhere down the line I expect to switch into my jolly Christmas persona.
Quakers are ambivalent about Christmas. "Just a day like any other day" is the official line. But Ailz and I will be opening up the Meeting House this morning for half an hour of worship because we're former Anglicans. Keith, also a former Anglican, is pledged to show up and then come back to ours for the rest of the day. He says he has mead. It's a long time since I last drank mead.
Wendy and Mary are driving down from Tonbridge. That'll make four of us at table. We issued a general invitation to anyone else who had nothing better to do to come and muck in with us so there might possibly be more....
