poliphilo Damian doesn't normally work on a Sunday but he was up on the orangery roof yesterday, fixing its final skin. The weather dictated that he should.
I'm looking down on his finished work from above. The final skin is black and oily and pristine- except that a bone has been placed on it.
I'm not an anatomist or a chef but I think the bone is a rib of lamb.
Not that this is important. The symbolism is what matters.
Curved, discoloured, picked clean.
It's a gull that'll have done it.
