It Was Always A Difficult Relationship

poliphilo I dreamed I was back at the farm. My father was there. There was a big placard on the front of the stable block. It said
SECRETIONS
I knew it was something to do with his horse racing business but I didn't know what so I asked him.
He ignored me. So I asked again and he got all hoity-toity.
"You wouldn't be interested," he said, "Where were you when I was running the business?"
"Oldham," I said defiantly.
"You see, not interested."
"O, fuck off," I told him.
Then I apologised...
I understand that in real life the stable block is no longer there. The people to whom we sold the farm have demolished it. They've demolished the garage too, replacing it with a big kitchen. Were we to go back- which I have no intention of doing- we'd barely recognise the place.
