Everybody Needs Good Neighbours
Sep. 26th, 2023 08:30 am One of the chaps who lives on the other side of the fence at the bottom of our garden was pruning his roses while I was taking things off the washing line. We were feet apart. So I did what I should have done months ago and wished him good afternoon. We had a nice chat. His name is Kevin. his partner's name is Paul. Turns out he once worked in Oldham. Something to do with housing. And he used to ride his bike through Daisy Nook. "I love Daisy Nook" I said...
Peter and Alison who live next door to our right are employing Damian- who does all our building and decorating- to make them an "orangery". He has some fun machinery on site. A dinky little digger and a dinky little something else. The side wall of the orangery will replace a section of the fence between the two properties. One of the features of the new building will be a stained glass window- depicting Beachy Head- which we'll get the benefit of when it's lit from within.
