The End Of Summer

poliphilo Mike and Su and Sej were here from Friday to Saturday. They had been planning to come next weekend but then they looked at the weather forecast. We had ordered a cot from Ikea and it arrived just in time.
We got to be grandparents to a baby again. The nursery rhymes came flooding back. Sej is such a happy child. He enjoyed watching pigeons at close quarters.
Was that the very end of summer? Probably. The Halloween gear is in the shops.
Hobbycraft has bins full of fake pumpkins made of stuffed fabric. Pretty colours. Realistic, but too perfect to be quite convincing.
