Foreshadowing
Aug. 26th, 2023 08:35 am Dreams look forward as well as back, because in dreams one is no longer fixed in linear time and can drift about.
The foreshadowings don't have to be momentous.
For instance I had that dream last night about Roman statuary- and this morning found myself- not having planned it - watching a video about the contemporary reconstruction (using laser printers) of the colossal statue of Constantine- which used to stand in the apse of the basilica of Maxentius in Rome.
Enough of the statue remains- head, hands, feet- to make the reconstruction plausibly accurate. It's a fucking ugly thing...
