They say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do. It's up there in a trinity with divorce and bereavement. And what makes it so very stressful- in my wholly unscientific opinion- is that the action is taken out of your hands at an early stage and passed over to expensive hired hands - estate agents, surveyors, conveyancers.
