poliphilo Suddenly my YouTube feed is full of AI Beatles singing AI Beatles' songs. Here are John and Paul duetting on a fully realised version of one of the scrappy little sketches John left behind. Here are all four Beatles doing a proper Beatley version of Ringo's It Don't Come Easy. Here's McCartney singing one of his recent songs- only his voice has been de-aged.
Then here's Paul himself being interviewed about the phenomenon. His old man voice is rough and raspy. What he's saying is basically, "It's a bit scary but why not? It's the future." As it happens he's about to release his own AI version of a Lennon sketch. If the "new" song is Now and Then (as everyone thinks it will be) it'll have George too- because the three surviving Beatles worked on it back in the 90s. This says the publicity, will be the Final Beatles Record.
The Final Beatles record? Really? Cue an invigorating philosophical debate on reality, authenticity and all that kind of thing...
