Outlandish And Horrible

 The issue of child trafficking keeps cropping up. A hint dropped in some public forum, an interview on an obscure website, the revelation in small print at the bottom of the page that some expendable rich person or minor celeb has been found with child porn on their hard-drive.... On the whole I'd rather not think about it. The rumours are so outlandish and horrible and some of the people whose names get bandied about as participating in the system so admired and cuddly that one wonders whether the whole thing isn't just a monstrous libel on the good and the great. But I don't think it is. For one thing it gets mocked by the same media (owned by the good and the great) that used to laugh at UFOs stories. This morning I learn that Mel Gibson has produced a four part documentary series on the subject- with special attention being given to the children who are currently going missing in Ukraine...
