Replacements

Earlier this morning I had Peter Bellamy in my head singing about blood being the price of Admiralty. Not very Christmassy. I've replaced him with Steeleye Span singing Gaudete.

And when unChristmassy thoughts crowd in- like how are we going to register a death within five days when the Registry Offices are shut for the season- I call up a doctored image (I've made it photorealist) of the angels dancing round a hole in the sky in Botticelli's Mystic Nativity.
