By the way, when I posted about censorship I wasn't really thinking about trolls and online abuse. That's a side-issue- and also important- but not what I mainly care about- which is the suppression of ideas and information.
I realise that you're a fan of the concept of free speech, but when the ideal concept hits reality, things never work out well. You accept that trolls and online abuse needs to be dealt with, and moderation needs to be in place to deal with that, but it's far more complicated than trolls. You might like this article I saw today about what happens when a site starts out offering "totally free speech" and how things progress.
